SALA 2025

Pilgrims of Hope: celebrating faith, creativity, identity, and community through diverse, imaginative and inspiring students.

The exhibition at St Mary's College will showcase Reception to Year 10 students' artworks in mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. These pieces will reflect the students' interpretations of the late Pope Francis's Jubilee call for hope and unity. The event offers the College community an opportunity to come together and engage with the students' creative expressions inspired by the Jubilee message - Pilgrims of Hope.
Jubilee is the name given to a particular year; the name comes from the instrument used to mark its launch. In this case, the instrument in question is the yobel, the ram's horn, used to proclaim the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). This (Jewish) holiday occurs every year, but it takes on special significance when it marks the beginning of a Jubilee year.
