Start Her St Mary's Journey Earlier
Beginning at St Mary's College in Year 5 or Year 6 gives your daughter the opportunity to establish strong foundations before entering Middle School. With time to build friendships, develop confidence and find her place within our community, she can approach the next stage of her education with a genuine sense of connection and belonging.
As part of our Reception to Year 12 College, your daughter will grow within one connected campus community, becoming familiar with our teachers, values and culture while discovering her own strengths and interests. By the time she transitions to Middle School, she is already known, supported and ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.
Due to strong demand, we have opened additional Year 5 and Year 6 classes for 2027, creating more opportunities for families to join our Upper Junior School.
Why Families Choose Year 5 or 6 Entry
Confidence for the years ahead
Girls have the opportunity to settle into a new environment, build meaningful friendships and develop the confidence that supports success both inside and outside the classroom.
Strong foundations for Middle School
With additional time to develop independence, organisation and effective learning habits, students enter Middle School ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
A connected pathway
By Year 7, students are already familiar with the campus, teachers and College culture, creating continuity in their learning journey and a smooth transition into the middle years.
More time to explore new opportunities
From leadership and social justice to STEM, sport and the performing arts, students have more opportunities to explore their interests and discover what inspires them.
We invite you to visit our city campus and explore the opportunities available at St Mary's College.
